  1. obviously not my current setup, just needed to move this laptop on the floor as im still working on getting my desk put up
  2. From my observations on nerd.nu/usage/survival C has less people on at peak times than S and P. I'm writing this at 6:54 PM EST and S has 11 people on, with only 7 on C. I don't think S is dead at all, just less people play on it than in early 2014
  3. I don't think they are coming back ever, people could send a large image and crash everyones mumble client who was in there, it would freeze in Windows, say "Not Responding" and then close.
  4. Im glad this has happened, also there are currently 7 people playing online now http://nerd.nu/usage/survival/ Also 1. If you scroll to the top of this page and look in the left hand corner it's there too 3. I ended up rebuilding my house based upon my house on previous revs because I ran out of new ideas for a house #2. What the heck ROFL. I would like to see that hottub myself
  5. Yeah a lot of people have stopped playing. My new laptop is coming tomorrow so after all these months I am going to start playing again. Mostly on S and P depending on how many people are playing, etc. I can't wait lol
  6. Yeah I asked about this a while ago and was told it wasn't coming back, and it made no sense to bring it back due to those issues
  7. Yeah, it's probably lag and then wen you go inside a solid object it's preventing you from interacting with the world
  8. Terraria or Garry's Mod Yeah, you could even set it up so an admin could remotely switch the game mode whenever someone else wants to play something different
  9. I get about a billion popups when I have Steam open. I've had people ask me what those were and why they saw them every 5 seconds, I generally have to log out of Steam to get rid of those, since I don't have any time to go through the groups. The ones that open them in separate windows are really annoying, They stack up each other and blink in your taskbar until you click on them. If we did this I probably wouldn't even notice as I don't even look in that part of my screen anymore
  10. IRC is basically something different From In-Game/Mumble. I have never seen anyone in IRC talking about minecraft related stuff honestly. I'm being dead serious here
  11. https://www.google.com/search?q=reddit+downvote+gif
  12. restart your modem/router and try again. uninstalling minecraft won't help.
  13. Just tried scrolling through villager trades with the same villager again and didn't have an issue. Not sure if that was just a rare error or what was up with that, anyway I seem to be fine after logging back it
  14. I was on PvE, with Vanilla 1.7.10, and I was scrolling through possible villager trades with a villager in a minecart, then I crashed. Now I was just going to ignore this, but I got a message in the launcher that said "If you were playing on a server, please let the server owners know". So here is what showed up in my client crash report http://paste.thezomg.com/14737/82636814/ I am assuming this was caused by the custom villager trading plugin that is running on P.
  15. I have had that happen to me before, and the only way to prevent it is to open up MCEdit and delete the tnt before loading the world download in Minecraft itself
  16. Modreq #246 on s.nerd.nu might have been a rollback, there were steps missing that went all the way down to the ground that were there before, hard to tell if it was grief or a rollback, but it is really high up in the air making the possibilities of a grief slimmer Note: Also the servers has been having issues hanging on restarts, just to let anyone who hasn't heard know
  17. They are all on the same box remotely hosted. They use mark2 and bungee to manage 3 servers all in one place.I have seen rollbacks on nerd.nu before, but it was due to severe lag on chaos. I believe if a server crashes it auto restarts, so if C crashed for example, it would start again and load the last saved changes, usually from a couple minutes ago. Tech admins might be able to restore a lost build if a server did a backup, that "Map Saving" message in chat.
  18. For 1 survival meeting a while back they had a Google Docs survey that had new ideas/suggestions and that was pretty helpful. I don't recall PvE ever doing something like that though. They had a Google Docs note sheet that had a couple different topics from that time on it. I believe it is still in /alert list on PvE
  19. you can still play Dota 2 if you are on Linux though
  20. Didn't nerd.nu/stats have PvP rankings at one point?
