  1. Sir_Didymus will be joining the Event Admin team. Sir_Didymus joined Nerd.Nu at the start of PvE's revision 12, in 2013. Since then, he founded the PvE city, Ambrosia, and has been a great involved mayor since. He has also dedicated time to several projects across C and P. With his leadership skills, he's going to bring his involvement to the next level! Welcome aboard, Sir_Didymus!
  2. Well, within about 5 minutes of me playing on P, I got blown up by a creeper while opening my notepad to begin keeping a log. GG me...
  3. Hm, one time I was bored and looking at the livemap and screenshotted DerpHerpingtons sign from above, that was funny. Or the awesome B-Day party ExcessiveToker, King_, geb_ and Hollifer made for me! Oh and who could forget DAnK t0WN I liked Creative Rev 28. :)
  4. Also, guys, start making your spawn secrets! If you didnt get a chance, you can continue working when the rev is live, just make sure your /tpmode is set to deny and that you are in modmode, this will be the only time you're allowed to build in modmode, thanks! :)
  5. Hey there sovietphoenix. To be fair, I never actually saw you say "avo for life," even though that in itself isn't ban worthy, considering your edits here, it was: You griefed quite a bit, and it's only been about 3 days since your ban. I'm going to request you to re-appeal after a week when you can be honest about what you did. Please re-appeal here on August 28th.
  6. Hey, I'll try this out before I join Ambrosia, though honestly, I might die right away...
  7. Alright so, just for update on who's doing what it seems: Challenger2: CTA as usual Sir_Didymus: Whatever his heart desires Zomise: Taking pictures of my muck-ups helping fix terrain Electifried: Helping me on Classic Creative world with roads and spawn there. MasterCommaThe: Working on spawn station
  8. Hey there, I'm posting on the behalf of the Cadmins about Creative-dev. As you all know, Creative is going to have a new revision launch on August 22nd. [More info here] Now, the Admins are working hard with Spawn City and actual Spawn right now, but they could definitely use some extra help with the world. The world is 100% world painted and edited, and so there are tons of holes and muck-ups with the world, and we need extra eyes/hands to help report/patch those holes. There are already a few of you who are already on this, but thats what this post is for, to inform those who do not know about this yet. So those who wish to come help out with fixing up the map and other creative directions, please comment here requesting whitelisting to c-dev. Once whitelisted, you will connect by using /server creative-dev. Edit 2: Forgot to say, to get to the world that needs fixing, do /mvtp world or check the modreqs. Not sure how to approach the fixing of holes and glitches? Theres a nifty World Edit selection called Convex Polyhedral. To begin using this, pull out your fancy //wand and type //sel convex Once you have done so, you can begin to left click your first point (usually best to start at the corner top of whatever you're filling/erasing) and then right click along the edges of the gap of the area you want filled/erased, and then //set <whateverID>. Selecting an area in cuboid and doing //smooth is also quite handy. Usually these glitches have the wrong biomes in them, so when you check the area around it with f3, make sure to select the area you want and type //setbiome <biome ID>. ID list can be found with /biomelist Edit: Don't forget to use //sel cuboid to put the selector back to normal. (Thanks Challenger) Should you need any help, do not hesitate to ask any of the Admins or other staff members who know how to help out! We ask you to keep information about the map and spawn a secret from the players as of right now. If they ask about already known things (posted in the post above) that's fine to talk about that. We really would like to keep most of this a surprise. *Also, we will tell you when and where you can begin to build spawn secrets when the time comes. We can't forget those, now can we?
  9. Wait, did [redacted] get moved over to E while I was gone? If it's the same one we were talking about, that would be the one I started. Originally Mrloud was going to make a post, but I was gone for a bit to give any more info, so far only the people I ask have built on it, but I intend to whitelist those who want to join and work on [redacted].
  10. Hijacking this post once more - Starting on the 25th, I'll be on/off for about a week or so. Normally I'm on every day, but since I'm moving, I can't be on as much as I'm used to, so I'm not *completely* gone, just not as active as I'd like to be. Edit: Well, maybe on occasion I can get on minechat (using local coffee shop wifi), turns out my internet will be available on August 14... much longer than I had expected. :/
  11. Thanks for the feedback on that. I felt it gave the idea that it's big and in it's special defined world where everything in that world revolves around the one subject. I do have to partly agree with you, we don't need so many worlds, that in itself would pull everything apart.
  12. That would be interesting, I like how most MMO games I've played have an auto filter that replaces FUCK with !@%$ as a standard. The players can turn the filter on/off when they please. Minecraft is mostly geared towards kids, so we *should* expect more children. (who generally can't be around a negative/vulgar setting) Though, I don't think this would be possible with signs, people can type whatever the want on the signs. Hell, sometimes on Creative I put at spawn "Don't be or build a dick." Maybe it would be a good idea to remove it...
  13. Question: I would like to do this and answer questions/talk about Creative (assuming this is what you mean), though do I have to have a mic? I'd like to do this but with text chat.
  14. Hello there rol456! Your banning moderator is not on staff anymore so I'd like to take this over. Ban information: c.nerd.nu (trevorman) [Griefing on C. Banned items. nerd.nu/appeal] 2011-11-27T18: 16:07 - Since it's been 4 years, I'll just go ahead and unban you, just make sure you refresh yourself with the rules here. Welcome back!
  15. Exactly what I am thinking, it's a great idea and I want to see it implemented, I'm just recording how many people actually want it first so it doesn't become dead or separate us.
  16. Egads, another bandwagon hopper? I'll be gone (on and off) for three weeks starting on the 21st.
  17. This suggestion has come up a number of times while I've been Cadmin and I've been seriously considering it. The others also think it's a great idea, the only problem is that currently, Creative doesn't have the huge thriving playerbase it used to have. However, I personally was thinking, it would be interesting to get the old style creative mode set up on a smaller multiverse map. By smaller I mean smaller than the main map since you cannot fly and all that jazz - then let players play old style creative there. (If it's possible that is) I know I'd like to see that if I were a player. It's always nice to have a blast to the past. So far with the amount of suggestions and discussions on this topic, I'm thinking it's possible it will become a reality. (hopefully)
  18. Just wanted to leave this poll here, in case it gets buried on "Minecraft Discussions" https://nerd.nu/forums/topic/3465-creative-revision-29-map-poll/
  19. Rev 28's spawn :I It seems everyone really disliked that direction lol
  20. What everyone else has said was pretty much the feedback I was going to state. I also wanted to add to Difficult1s idea about the next map. If you've ever played World of Warcraft, there's a really cool PvP map (forgot the name) where each side has a fortress and in the middle runs a large-ish river dividing each side. You either have to swim or jump on debris to cross the river, or dare to cross the middle bridge where its horribly dangerous. Theres also several structures in between to weave through and some hard-to-navigate terrain in the sides, making the players focus on battling in the Danger Zone (ziiiing); the battle-heavy section. Most of the fighting either happens on the gate bridges of the fortresses with water around it, or at the large river, which would call for some really intense scenarios! Also this, so much yes. Maybe as a special game-mode for a round or have it be a Search and Destroy thing at the end of each round? Like a "breakout" to settle the scores?
  21. I agree, most of these were suggestions and things that have been brought up in chat anyway. So I threw it in there just because, I personally don't think it's a good idea either. :P We'll keep that in mind!
