  1. Instead of something invite-only, could you do it in public? Something like a publicly logged new irc channel and a collaborative document with history, http://sync.in/ is a good one.
  2. A lot of people came for the Civcraft rev, then the S players on the forums voted not to have an environment that the Civcraft people want, so they left and we're back to normal S revs. Most liked, most well received doesn't mean what you think it means. The only idea I've seen with enough detail is the mix of P and S on S. Barney and other reputable but inactive people made detailed plans for this for Junction. I saw the planning document (a few months ago) for a breakaway server that doesn't seem to have happened, it simply says "Survival (possible difference in gameplay to keep it unique)" when I saw it. When you have detailed ideas you can then, and I think only then, complain that your ideas aren't being taken seriously. Is it really trolling to ask you to have a detailed idea?
  3. Would you like to restart it, to expand the community? If it's at a time friendly to my timezone I'll try to come.
  4. You're often asking for a big change, seemingly based entirely on your idea of what you want the S server to be. Someone without any baggage or attachment to the S you call failing would do that job perfectly.
  5. Tomatoe, tomahto. Love, decency. No wait, that doesn't sound right, does it?
  6. This might not be a good example (or even topic) but I'd like to you read this. https://www.reddit.com/r/aspergers/comments/2c51dq/im_sick_of_autism_being_used_as_a_insult_on/ Be serious for this. I'll ask a non-serious set later, keep it in for then.
  7. It doesn't happen in GMT timezone friendly hours. From what I can see on the logs it's a noisy circlejerk. Maybe it needs a clanchat.
  8. Joey from Friends was on that show in Friends, that is what happened to his character.
  9. You'd need to interest P players to join to have enough players, and my guess is that they'd rather build a ctf pvp arena in their city.
  10. What do you think can be automated? If you can't get a group of people together at one time, who will be there at whatever you want on a new server?
  11. It requires so much time to prepare and lasts so short. We have chaos up occasionally for a similar purpose, we have arenas on P and S all the time for that. Maybe you could organise team fights in the arenas.
  12. Go die in a lift. I permit you to come back in a woman's body.
  13. Why can't the players continue handling the blame? Why is it not the players fault that the players don't make thing easy? Why are you so sure that it isn't why the server is dead. Why would tackling this problem not be worth your time?
  14. Please use/read/post/bump the other thread, it has more progress and attention paid to it.
  15. I heard a lot of complaints about JA, it wasn't some golden time before then (and I think that use of her disapproval is in very poor taste). I also firmly believe that words a new player can see in chat, within seconds of a join if they are unlucky, have a much bigger effect than them being around long enough to find out head admin actions. It doesn't have to offend them to see that it's not an environment they want to be a part of.

  17. The current rules are a very common trade-off between freedom of choice of words, and keeping everyone happy. Do you have some other trade-off in mind, or just the absolute ends of the scale?
  18. Yes, so far as the admins and tech admins feel that they have the time and money for. And that we should expect whatever they want, such as the Minecraft servers have priority. A players first thought when seeing a game not hosted should be to work out which community member is able to host/pay for it.
  19. Bmx what was your expectation of your ama?
  20. Moo. Baa. Now stop poking me with that nano-thing. Bmx whats your first memory of minecraft and of the three servers of Nerd?
  21. How the fuck did you earn a Santander British Grand Prix trophy? You're not worthy. I bet you couldn't even fit in the car.
  22. I commend your effort. I think you can see the effectiveness of the large text and swearing, and whether to use them next time. D3north made a good effort. He was 'shut down' as in the official steam group is active and being worked on. Which is probably what he wanted to cause. Redwall made a good effort. He wasn't just suggesting games, asking for a server, but made a server. It just so happens to be the first one made without any great fuss. Which is what we're all wanting to cause. It sounds like there are discussions about game nights already, feel free to contribute to that.
  23. Device - Mac and iPhone. There are so many cross platform games on PC/Mac(/Linux) and several on iOS/Android that we could have great choice within those bounds. Start with multiple genres - get more engaged from the publicity. FPS - The demand is there for TF2 and Gmod. Other, such as retro, racing and so on have some support. Free (libre/gratis) or near free or in Steam sales is a big group.
  24. But I entered it. I suck and I have even biases against me from everyone. How didn't I ruin it? Please love me.
