Don't be afraid of going without shaders. A good build doesn't need em and most screencaps that used shaders that i have seen would have looked better without em IMHO

Really I see nothing justifying a general meeting, everything I've seen mentioned could be discussed easier , more coherently, and better in forum threads IMHO

Now that Rev 26 has been up for 4 weeks and we have all had some time to play and see how various changes affect gameplay, let's hash out what we like, dislike, or think needs tweaked, both for the continuation of this rev and for the next. Please keep all comments constructive and keep discussion civil. Sadmins reserve the right to take poll results into advisement without necessarily following all outcomes of the polls to reach a configuration of plugins, settings, and rules that works well together.

I would also rather have nothing than downvotes. They do almost nothing positive for the community and frequently just cause drama and anger by being used to downvote a player rather than an idea.

Hello jjoe2012 Another player saw some unusual digging patterns and alerted staff to them. I took a look, and this is what I found. The logs show you blatantly exploiting a minecraft bug to x-ray into several unconnected caves, two dungeons and to another player's base. Stopping along the way to mine any exposed ores. The ban length for xray is one month. Please read the rules and make an appeal on or after August 31st stating that you understand them and will follow them

If I understand Cyotie correctly, The player should make the appeal first and, if they feel they were unjustly treated in the appeal, then msg an admin to elevate it and ask for a revaluation.

What is your favorite redstone and nonredstone build you have done so far?

Does the dribble attract dust? Does it make threads harder to dust off?

You had been warned for general grief and for not replanting crops on survival previously. The length of the ban has passed, so please take a second to read the rules(as quite a few of them have changed for the survival server) and reply back stating you have read the rules and will follow them to be unbanned

The decision to try this play style has nothing to do with the work load of moderating. Literally nothing. And as far as lack of effort to create the map for this rev, I have personally spent well over 45 hours working on it and I know Redwall and Mrloud have also spent many hours as well, not counting the time we have spent planning and discussing different ideas This coming revision is a starting point for trying out different aspects and seeing how each of them affect game play. Honestly if all parts of it work perfectly I would be surprised. But my hope is that even through some failures we can work together to see what works and what doesn't and use that as a point to continue from. I have heard rumors of players planning to purposefully try to break the coming rev, to exploit any loophole as much as possible, and honestly, it makes me sad to see players planning on trying to destroy Survival, a server that I love and care about. That attitude will do nothing to help the server long term or short. All I ask is that players approach the rev with an open mind and try to see what works and what doesn't to give us a solid platform to continue with
