^I really like that idea, but maybe not 5 chests... Maybe 2, simply because a double sized chest is considered a single chest to the lock plugin. and well... 2 of those is plenty to hold armor and diamonds and anything needing protection.

This has turned from a post about alt accounts being banned to how long we ban people for using alts. Why don't we just set a 1 month ban for any and all alternative accounts to a player, this will give us time to process if they are going to be a constructive member of the community again, and not leave us with rediculous ban lengths... Do we really think minecraft as we know it will remain exactly as is by 2025? Let's face the facts we know since 2012, many people got banned by people who no longer visit the servers, perhaps they did something more or less serious than someone were permabanning... We don't know when the banning moderator or admin or head admin is no longer around, and this is only a 2 year timespan. And nor will the staff of nerd.nu in 2025... Leaving our server to hold an endless grudge on their other accounts... A ban length of 11 years is rediculous.

Can I also bring up that the dynamap interface allows for us to display offline maps on the sidebar, as well as 45degree perspective maps, which means we simply could have a page called nerd/nu/maphistory and put them all on one map via the sidebar interface. It would require reloading of all of the old maps once again. However it does give us the ability let players look through old maps quicker.

I really like that this is being considered for implementation, it will really help to get people involved in projects that are not yet finished. I only have 2 suggestions though: To add to the project's extensive direction, I suggest that all players who have a sign on the build bulletin board also have their own build bulletin board at the build to not only give more detailed direction, but to also guide players on other details they could help with once the original objective is complete. More so on the admins part for this one, but could we get a [server] notification about the bulletin board's presence as well? Other than that, I think this is a great idea so far, it will get rid of the statement and question "I'm bored. Does anyone want any help?".

What are your plans to fix some of the massive game-breaking additions that were placed on S such as prison pearls. (Where a player legit came crying to me about being permanently trapped within an obsidian block area, threatening to leave forever if it happens again)

On C it just sends the last part of that; "only staff members are allowed to clear old builds." before we got the serverwide mail system, it used to send the last part as a msg and as a mail. but now it sends just that twice as a mail. I'd like that to be fixed honestly, with a much more broad note of simply "Please do not grief, this is your final warning, continuing will result in a ban".

MCbouncer has been down all day. Long before this disconnect happened.

Tried connecting via all option routes no dice. After the server kicked me, I get the error "Failed to connect to the server, Error lookup up user" A single player remains on C right now.

I know it may be a bit off topic, but could we also change the text associated with /warngrief back to something less snide? "only staff can remove old builds" rarely applies to the type of grief we get...

Creative is having some major issues with lag and connectivity stating around 5:30PM CDT.

lets not forget the long lost past-time of building golf courses on c.nerd.nu where the ball would be item drops... they slide on ice.

Minecraft updates shouldn't be that big of a problem... the server has updated mid revision before, and even then we've had revisions pass where there were no updates after. We've also ignored a few updates in the past as well. I don't think it would be too much of a problem for C, maybe on S and P where blocks would end up unobtainable but on C we would just add more blocks to our builds and the map would update with minecraft as is. only spawn needs the season feel, to be perfectly honest we could use some pre-painted world maps and put a spawn and other areas on it... as well as have contests for players to build the areas warps before release(AND NOT PUT THEM IN THE WRONG AREAS) this would pretty much diminish the problems of workload on the cadmins who can already use world edit to create the map in advanced to begin with. true, very true... However as it stands right now, creative is dragging on so much that were loosing the old players and the only reason we sustain is our new players that join and build in whatever space is left. I mean, you don't have to ever announce the rev a month in advanced, but as frequent players, it is our suggestion... No one else really has to know.
