I think it'd be cool to create a poll on common steam games, you list a number of games on steam and then get the player base to tick games they own and like and dates they are available to play, then you take the highest scoring of each and create a steam event out of it. It'd be cool to expand our community past minecraft more.

Personal opinion but I don't like the idea of creative being a test world for s and p. I know it attracts some players but it's kind of like the server we like a lot being used as a tool instead of a legitimate server. I know this might be irrational however it's just a personal opinion.

Creative has sort of lost the idea of being a community based server and has become a bit more of a test your builds sort of server. The idea I have would be to use the multi world plugin on different servers we could have the suggestions that have been coming in from quite a while ago e.g. an old style world for instance no fly, no compass, no world edit, just the blocks, another world we could have mini games, now that'd require a lot of plugins but would draw more attention to creative and give it another use other than to build a sack on. We could also have the competition world like we have just now for the lobby. I think we should make use of the multi world thing a lot more than we are. Our numbers are very low and pretty much anything is worth a shot at this stage. I also believe that creative really does need some new mods. I'm sorry if some of these suggestions have already been made but I really think you guys should give them a shot.

I believe notes should remain for 1 month if in that time the player does not break any rules then they should be allowed to have it removed. Otherwise depending on how much more they do the note should remain from 2 months to indefinitely. I also believe after a player is banned for whatever reason the notes associated with that ban should all be removed and replaced with a "banned for x reason" note which could be removed 1 month after the ban. The reason for this is due to the fact that a note is not meant to be worse than a ban and if someone pops on the server minor griefs or some other small offense that isnt worth a ban and gets a permanent note whenever they log onto another server running mc bouncer / fishbans / whatever, the note will show and damage their reputation on that server. personally id rather a ban for a week on a server i dont plan on joining again than a perminant note that affects other servers.

Go onto creative find an open plot, mark it out then get it protected, you will then be able to use world edit in that area, so you could set up a plot system quite easily and you'd be able to set the size limit for the buildings, you could then number the plots and try to get a warp set there for the competition, or set a private home and tell people the home name so they could go there. You could then set a date for the competition to be completed by and tell people they have that long to build their designs. Once the time is up you could either fly around the plots and chose your favorite ones or you could post pictures of them onto the forums/ subreddit and ask people to vote for their favorite ones.

It'd be cool to have more sculpting competitions, where you have a big block of say stone and you have to sculpt it into something on a set theme. This would be very easy to set up with world edit.

You want everyone to be on the same page? It's tricky, everyone seems to have their own way of handling things, I used to go by three strikes of minor abuse before taking more serious action, some people give a lot more lenience towards matters and some are more harsh. I guess we could attempt to modify the mod training to include a few questions on what you'd do in certain scenarios. That could possibly be a way to make people treat situations more consistently. In terms of treating all s players as toxic, maybe they should spend a bit more time on s to realize that this is clearly not the case. Again, these are implementations the staff would have to discuss among themselves to improve their moderating system. The servers seem to be almost completely different communities, I'd like that to change, there is no way we can improve the community as a whole if we only know one third of it. However that's a lot easier said than done. I see your problem, I think the only way we are going to combat it is to have a brainstorm with all members of the community as to ideas that could make the community function as one.

Multiverse - I'd like to see mini games in one world, e.g. spleef, obstacle courses, pvp arenas and redstone built games like naughts and crosses or something like that. In game - I'd like more frequent tournaments, we often have amazing spleef builds or pvp arenas, yet they are only used casually, it'd be cool to set up teams and go against each other in a tournament. - Longer lasting competitions, if we had almost revision length competitions I think it'd be interesting, as you could create a very nice prize for the winner it'd also allow for the creation of very nice builds on set themes. Staff related - I'd quite like some more frequent updates on how the server is doing, what plans there are for the server, posts like this one. I'd also like more frequent creative mumble meetings to gather the communities view on things.

I've read through your post and listening to some of the things you have said happened to you I'm quite shocked. Under no circumstance should a mod/admin abuse mumble creating a channel to deliberately upset an individual, it's blatant abuse of power and also bullying. All NSFW material like you mentioned has to be labelled as such you can't link people to porn without telling them what they are about to click on, it's rude and inappropriate especially if there are younger players online. The idea around the nerd servers was originally to create a minecraft server that more adult players could join so they don't have to worry about swearing ect. However part of the fact that it's an adult server should mean we don't act like children on it. We shouldn't be hurling abuse at people, if you don't like someone, avoid them or bring the problems you have up with a mod/admin. It's not easy to draw a clear line as a lot of bans due to inappropriate language are completely circumstantial. e.g. you could have someone saying fuck or cunt in chat over something stupid e.g. they placed an obsidian block down in the wrong spot and have to dig it out or they fell in lava, that's fine. If however someone is directly abusing a player calling them a cunt or whatever swear words they can think of at the time, that's not ok. We can swear yes. But we can't abuse it and use it to upset players, that's not what we are about. If however the other person was a friend of the one giving the abuse and it was clearly a piss take or joke. That's also fine, as no intent to upset the other player is there. Again, sorry for the things that seem to have happened they should never happen to people in the community no matter what. I hope I've explained our rules a little bit more, however as I said it's difficult to set a line at what's acceptable and what isn't.

Yes, Nevastop's spleef arenas are amazing, but they do take a long time to create, I was suggesting that we had a basic /warp spleef arena, from go. Once Neva had built his spleef arena it's replace the basic one we started with.

Sorry, not sure this has been up not read through all the comments but I'd like to have a spleef arena warp at the start of the revision same goes for a pvp arena, they would be temporary until someone builds a better one but then you can instantly start things like spleef tournaments and pvp tournaments. Same goes for 10 minute build contest arenas.
